NICK DARGAN
Director and Trustee of Long Eaton United Community FC
Nick is a chartered accountant who, until retirement, was head of international accountancy firm Deloitte's UK restructuring team where he had been a partner for 20 years. He specialised in providing solutions to stakeholders of underperforming corporates and was involved in restructuring the affairs of numerous football clubs.
PAUL HOLLAND
HEAD OF academy
Paul has been involved in football since he was a young boy and has been involved at clubs in various capacities. After doing his A Levels, he went on to play professionally for Mansfield Town, Sheffield United, Chesterfield and Bristol City before having to retire at the age of 26 with a serious knee injury. He also played for his country representing England at U18 Schoolboy level before playing alongside David Beckham for the U21s. He has been involved in coaching at Mansfield Town and Ilkeston FC before coming to Long Eaton United Community FC to help set up the Academy. This has now been going 5 years and continues to grow from strength to strength.
CURTIS BORROWS
ACADEMY Manager
Curtis joined us as a full time coach in the summer of 2020 following his 3 years at the University of Derby where he attained a First Class degree in Sport and Exercise Science. Curtis currently plays semi professionally where he has made over 300 appearances across steps 3 & 4 for teams including Ilkeston, Grantham Town, Coalville Town and most recently Loughborough Dynamo. His biggest sporting achievements are representing England Universities where he won the home nations tournament and reaching the play off final with Grantham Town back in 2018. Curtis continues to progress through the coaching ladder as a UEFA licensed coach and looks forward to managing the long term future and progression of the academy.
EWAN HEAD
COACH
Ewan is in his third year at the football club and has completed his BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport in partnership with Loughborough College. He was the Academy captain last season and he has been rewarded for his attitude and willingness to learn with a full-time role at the club as an academy coach.
